FYI.... Pics from last weeks Annual Air Show are now posted in our online gallery.
One is a short but cool clip of the gremlin mid-air between Joe Felonk and Dennis Miendersma during the second combat demo at Sundays annual air show.
The second is a "blast from the past" of some of our members slope soaring at Mt Baldy back in "1995". Remember this was recorded on VHS and then digitally compressed for web viewing so the quality is not as good as the other videos, but is cool none the less.
The pics from Sundays Annual air show will be posted as soon as I receive them from our club photographer John W. There will also be some pics posted that were taken by photgrapher Wally Johnson. I just added a link to Wally's website on our main page as well as our links page.

We did it! We have completed the palosrc.com domain name transfer to our new website hosting company and we have started and completed most of the data migration process to our new server.
Early this morning, Monday, Feb.16th 2009, between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., my son Steve and I made the transfers. Unless you happened to be online and on our site during that time, you would not even have noticed the minimal down time of the website.
The site is now up and running, so please check it out, but remember that this is a work in progress. (The gallery will need to be reloaded, etc.)
Check our website frequently, as we will continue working on updating as well as adding new features, as time permits, as I stated before, "to greatly improve our club's online presence for the benefit of all our members and that of visitors to our site".
We will soon be adding some cool new features, so check back often.
Remember: Take-offs are optional….Landings are mandatory!!!
Thank You,
Dennis DeGregorio
If you are reading this, then you (hopefully) have noticed some positive changes made and additional features added to our site.
In order to facilitate the continuing expansion of our website, we will soon be changing over to a new web server and at times you may notice some periods of down time.
Rest assured that this is normal and unavoidable and I will do my best to keep this down time to a minimum. Once completed, you will find that our new site will be much more interactive, informative and media friendly.
This is a brief summary of some noteworthy changes and decisions made by the President and Board of Directors, that will take effect immediately, and as announced to all present at the February 4th General Meeting and is being published here for the information of all members of the Palos R/C Flying Club.
The new Public Relations Officer is: Al Yurkus.
The new Webmaster is yours truly; Dennis DeGregorio.
The 2009 flying field schedule of events is being finalized and will soon be made available.
Contest Directors have volunteered for these events, but as always, to make all of our events a success, please step up and offer your assistance to the CD's. It will be greatly appreciated.
Reminder: There will NOT be a show and tell at the March meeting as we will have our Swap Shop.
One last note: Many members have not yet paid their dues for the 2009 season. If at all possible, please do so at the March meeting.
All this and more will be available for your reading pleasure in the March Newsletter when published.
A personal note from your new Webmaster: Please be patient, but by all means, check our website frequently, as I will be working on updating as well as adding new features, as time permits, to greatly improve our club's online presence for the benefit of all our members and that of visitors to our site.
Remember: Take-offs are optional….Landings are mandatory!!!
Thank You,
Dennis DeGregorio
